Many people were interviewed over several years. Also has photos of disassembled reels with a technical description of their function, design and materials. A great reference book for all reel collectors to help with reel identification, date of manufacture, and how the reels worked.

Russell Christianson and Tom Harwood are the authors. Both authors are very knowledgeable and provide an excellent resource about the unique reels produced in the Pacific Northwest.
